Emmanuel EbriEmmanuel Ebri

Hi, my name is

Emmanuel Ebri

Software Engineer

Good software is invisible. People just notice that the page loads fast, the checkout works and nothing gets in their way. That's what I build.

In 2+ years I've built telemedicine platforms, school portals, online stores and fintech dashboards. Every one of them gets the same treatment: secure APIs, clean architecture and interfaces that feel obvious the first time you use them.

Available for freelance, collaborations & startup projects.

About Me

Who I am

Hello, I'm Emmanuel Ebri, a software engineer based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria with 2+ years of experience building web applications end to end. I work across the whole stack, from the database to the last pixel, and I'm just as comfortable designing an API as I am figuring out why a button feels wrong.

My work cuts across healthcare, education, fintech and e-commerce. I've built a telemedicine platform, school management portals, online stores and dashboards that deal with real money. Different industries, same standard: secure, fast and easy to use.

I'm picky about the things users never see. Readable code, sensible architecture, APIs that hold up under pressure. Software has a way of rewarding whoever respects the details, so I'd rather spend an extra hour today than hand you a problem next month.

When I'm not on client work I'm usually deep in something new: tightening up an old project, testing a tool I haven't used before or building mobile apps to stretch what I can do. The web moves fast. I enjoy keeping pace with it.

Health Tech

A secure telemedicine platform connecting patients and healthcare providers through real-time video, chat, and digital prescriptions.

Serving 2,000+ users

Managing complex state across multiple interactive components (real-time chat, video sessions, booking flows, and authentication) led to inconsistent UI updates and prop drilling as the application scaled.

E-commerce

A full-featured e-commerce platform with product catalog, cart, checkout and payment integration, carrying 50+ products across 6 categories.

98% checkout success rate

An online store earns trust in seconds. The catalog, cart and checkout had to feel fast and dependable, because every glitch at the payment step is a lost sale.

Personal Project

The site you are reading right now. A server-rendered Next.js portfolio with a case study page for every project, two carefully built themes and a world map quietly behind it all.

Server-rendered, client JS only where it counts

A portfolio has one job, selling the developer, and most fail because they look like every other template. This one had to look distinct, load fast and stay honest about what I can actually do.

Experience

My professional journey

Every role has been a chapter: new problems, new tools, new wins. Click on each experience to read the full story.

The Challenge

A distributed Agile team, 8+ feature modules in flight and 30+ Figma designs that had to land pixel-accurate on every browser and screen size.

The Process

Built production-ready components with React, TypeScript and TailwindCSS, kept design fidelity across desktop and mobile, and worked structured GitHub workflows inside two-week sprints.

The Victory

Review-to-merge time dropped by 20% and the interfaces went out responsive, consistent and faithful to the designs.

Reviewing Code You Did Not Write

A large share of the code I ship each week was drafted in seconds by a model. Reading it takes far longer than generating it did, and that is now the job.
